Metro Diaries

Day 1 - 15th April

It's been a while I haven't pen down anything except regular shayari's on whts-app. I often commute by metro which is the Lifeline of Delhi and Delhities. Delhi wakes up to an instant energy with dawn everyday. People start their day pretty early as some have to commute more than 100 kms a day (one side) to reach their workplace.

Our capital is multicultural and multilingual as we have migrants from all across. I get to see so much in metro itself. At times, I come across really interesting people. There are students, teachers, homemakers, working professionals, artists, all kind of people.

I find it so interesting to meet and talk to new people everyday. Some are warm, some are cold, some share their bits with you and some don't bother to talk. One thing I often notice is that everyone is too much plugged into their phones and gadgets that they seclude themselves from the surroundings. We have become slaves to the technology , be it games or music or whatever.

I have met some great people while travelling and random commuting and many have gone by just like that. Often made random friends on my way home, had chit chats, went out for snacks or lunch n at times just a simple and sweet bye. Have some sweet memories to fond. There is no urge to reach back to them, or find them on social networks to remain in touch. But surely want to experience these strangers and listen to their part of story, time and time again.. everyday may be... (wink)

to be cont'd...
